Are my photos uploaded to your server?
No. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device. Your files are never sent to us or to any third party, which is why it also works for private photos and large batches. Will the image look worse?
Because JPG is lossy and WebP is lossy too, a second compression adds a small additional loss. At quality 80–90 it is rarely visible.
