Choosing the right scale

An SVG has no fixed pixel size, so the converter uses the size declared in the file (its width and height, or viewBox) and multiplies it by the scale you choose. 1x gives the declared size, 2x suits retina screens, and 4x is useful for print or large banners.

If your logo comes out too small, simply raise the scale. The result stays crisp because the vector is re-drawn at the larger size rather than enlarged.

Why convert SVG to PNG?

SVG is perfect on the web, but plenty of places only accept bitmaps: email signatures, slide decks, social media uploads, marketplaces and many CMS media libraries. PNG is the safest bitmap format for logos and icons because it keeps sharp edges and transparency.

Things to know

SVG files that load external images or fonts may render without them, because the browser blocks external resources inside a standalone image. Embed fonts and images in the SVG, or convert text to outlines first.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to your server?

No. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser using your own device. Your files are never sent to us or to any third party, which is why it also works for private photos and large batches. Once the page has finished loading you can even switch off your internet connection and the tool keeps working.

Is the background transparent?

Yes. Areas that are not painted in the SVG stay transparent in the PNG.

My SVG has no width or height. What size will I get?

If the file declares neither a size nor a viewBox, a default of 512 × 512 pixels is used before the scale is applied.
